What Is The S.H.A.R.P System?

There are many reasons why young people decide not to talk about incidents – confrontational, face to face, lack of confidence, scared, peer pressure, kudos, scared in case someone sees them talking to or seen in the schools office but to name just a few. As a result, Tropica Web Design in partnership with Merseyside Police are pleased to present to you a 24/7 365 days a year confidential 1st hand, 2nd hand and 3rd hand reporting system of any incidents which occur within the school and local community.

The system is called S.H.A.R.P (School Help Advice Reporting Page) and also provides the additional benefits :-

1. Information gathering tool for incidents in school and local community
2. Education tool for main types of behaviour which affect schools – Bullying, Health, Community Issues, Weapons and Hate Crime
3. Powerful Communication Tool – where we can send the messages we want to give to the youth across the UK
4. Measuring Tool – we can measure how successful the system is.

The S.H.A.R.P system has been designed as a number of web pages. Each system will be individually personalised to the school by means of the schools colours and school badge, together with a photograph of a member of staff who is trusted and well known. This can be a police officer or any other member of staff. The web page is driven by a menu, which consists of the main headings relevant to each of the topics covered. Information is delivered in a standard format by means of a small video clip covering the subject matter, supplemented by a few lines of written text.

The system also covers every principle of the Every Child Matters Agenda in education today.

It also gives the students a voice and covers many aspects looked for in the new charter mark for schools.

Any modern communication device which is capable of sending a email can be used to access this reporting system ie most mobile phones, xbox 360, new iphone, hand held computers pda’s, sky tv, ntl cable tv, just to name a few.
